CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion Pizza Pub celebrated its
40th anniversary in April, 2013. The pub offered daily specials to mark the occasion.
The Pub´s philosophy is that they are not fast food, but customers
know they can come in, get waited on in a hurry, eat, and get out.
“The main reason that we’ve been successful over the years is our
good employees, and they’ve made the difference. They’ve been very loyal
over the years. (Several) people have been here (for a) long time. I
think we’ve treated them good, and they treat us good.”
The Pub employs about 25 people.
The Pub isn’t just a Clarion restaurant. Mike says he gets customers all the time from Brookville, Oil City, Karns City, Moniteau, and especially when there are a lot of sporting events in town. When people travel from Pittsburgh through the area, they often stop at the Pub.
And he still gets quite a few people asking about when he´s going to open a Pub in their hometown.
